Unrestrained

Winds blow where they will,
Unheld by binding chains
Of ruthless doctrine
And a name.

Shadows fall where they will,
Unrestrained by light's
Piercing goodness,
And the flame.

Happiness alone is bound
By some men,
Who's lives they see greater
Than the less.

They bind my body, tie my mind,
Stitch my lips and clip my tongue,
But my spirit's a wild wind,
And my passion a true fire.
My soul is the shadow
Of my name.

I shall never be restrianed.

Artemis

Chaste wild hunt of the green,
Who rides these gales
And blows her hallowed
Horns that howl with the wind.
Friend to the dark unseen
Muse, being of long tales
And summoner of night owls,
Free, wildest of womankind;
As terrible as a she can get,
With the immortal wonder
Of the mountain-goatherdess.
And the rustic beauty within.
Something simpler than simple,
More raw, more feeling for
None save nature, nor a man.
What Eve would, had Adam not been.
